Going Away Party Theme: Taco Bout A Future

Going Away Party Theme Taco Bout A Future

One of my favorite clients called to design a going away party theme for her bestie.  I go ALL OUT to design new themes.  Her friend is relocating from Illinois to Michigan for a job and she wanted to send her off in style.  I love to learn a bit about the guest of honor, and it turns out April loves Tacos.

I immediately started researching fun themes like 'Adios Bitchachos' and ultimately settled on 'Taco Bout a Future.' Planning this party was so fun.  I knew we wanted to stick with a blush, green and gold theme.  So, I worked with those colors and then started to pull in more cactuses to tie into the Mexican food.

It was a beautiful night overlooking the iconic Wrigley Building in Chicago.  Balloons from Paris312 filled the room while a floral runner designed by Dilly Lily lined the table.  The color palette was designed to match Harlow & Grey's beautiful blush & green plates.

I created a unique logo with a taco flying from Illinois to Michigan to symbolize the guest of honor's move, which came to life on the wine bottles and hangover kit.  Custom logos are so simple to design for parties on Etsy as long as you can provide direction.

Speaking of, nothing says a successful going away party like a hangover kit, right?  Individually wrapped hangover kits were the favors for all attendees containing Advil, water and a face mask to rehydrate the next day!  No detail was spared including Boxed Water and Vernor's Ginger Ale, which is made and distributed in Michigan.

Guests arrived to find a stunning table set for dinner followed by evening entertainment with Pandora the Psychic.  What better way to celebrate new beginnings than with a fortune teller?  ECBG Cake Studio designed the perfect cake to complement the beautiful balloon arch created by Paris312Annie Steele Photography perfectly captured the event designed by yours truly, Girl Meets Party.
